Parking at Hotel Wien Zentrum
Enjoy convenient parking at Heiligenkreuzerhof or in the nearby underground parking garage at Georg-Coch-Platz, about an 8-minute walk away. Access to the Heiligenkreuzerhof is possible daily from 06:00 to 21:00, with an exit option until 12:00 on the day of your departure. The underground parking garage is accessible around the clock. The parking fee is € 25,- per night in the Heiligenkreuzerhof or € 25,- for 24 hours in the underground parking garage. On arrival you will receive all the necessary information at reception.
Air-conditioned rooms
The entire hotel, including the rooms, suites, lounge, breakfast room and lobby, has air conditioning to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Family friendliness
Children are always welcome at the Kärntnerhof. One child up to 12 years stays free of charge in a double room. On request, we will be happy to provide you with a crib at no extra cost.
Pets
Small dogs up to a weight of 12 kg are welcome at the Kärntnerhof. We charge a cleaning fee of € 40,- per room and stay or € 100,- in the Christiane Hörbiger Suite. Please let us know when booking if you are traveling with your dog, as not all rooms are suitable for pets. Dogs are unfortunately not permitted in the Dom Suite and the Madame Rosa Suite.

Hotel Wien Zentrum: Things to know about the Kärntnerhof
The Kärntnerhof, known as Vienna’s most enchanting miniature grand hotel, shines with its exclusive location and has been reinterpreted under the artistic direction of Niccolò Grassi, an outstanding designer for Ferragamo. This redesign captures a harmonious blend of Viennese Art Nouveau, French charm and Italian elegance, recognizable by carefully selected wallpaper, velvet-covered furniture and an exceptional art collection. This collection, inspired by Alexander von Humboldt, presents a rich selection of animal motifs such as butterflies, birds and ostrich eggs that emphasize the hotel’s distinctive character. A special feature is the roof terrace of the Kärntnerhof, which serves as a lounge during the summer months and offers a picturesque view of the baroque towers of the Heiligenkreuzerhof.
The history of this hotel, which is currently home to 41 rooms and 3 suites, is just as gripping. After the Second World War, it was run as a brothel under the name “Madame Rosa”. The renowned Austrian actress Christiane Hörbiger, who had a special connection to this place, considered the hotel to be one of her favorite Viennese retreats. Her pug Loriot often enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel and was lovingly cared for by the staff.
“Over the centuries, Vienna has established itself as a crossroads for artists, intellectuals and merchants from all over Europe. This historical role of Vienna inspired us in the redesign of the Kärntnerhof,” says Nicole Nagel, co-owner and managing director, who played a key role in the hotel’s design process. Nicole, who grew up in her family’s European hotels, follows in the footsteps of her father Friedrich Nagel, who began his career in the hotel industry in the 1950s with the Hotel Plaza in Berlin and the Viennese restaurant Old Vienna on Kurfürstendamm. This was followed by operations in Italy, Spain and Germany. In the 1980s, the family from Vienna took over the Kärntnerhof and brought the Italian designer Niccolò Grassi and the Belgian Eline de Potter on board to redesign it. De Potter was responsible for curating the private art collection and contributed to the color scheme that gives the hotel a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Niccolò Grassi designed most of the hotel’s furniture and lighting. The green-grey boiserie, made in authentic Viennese Art Nouveau colors by a Tuscan manufacturer, armchairs and sofas from Belgian production as well as furniture accessories specially handmade in Florence define the ambience of the hotel. Wallpapers from renowned brands such as Farrow & Ball, Osborne & Little and Sandberg create a classic yet contemporary setting for the artworks, including a portrait of Christiane Hörbiger, taken by fashion photography legend Elfi Semotan, which can be admired in the Christiane Hörbiger Suite.

U-Bahn und Straßenbahn in de Nähe.Zimmer gepflegt und die Betten fanden wir gut. Dachterrasse für Sundowner vorhanden.Wir kommen gerne wieder. .

Sylvia Koehler26/09/2023Ein schönes, alter familiengeführtes Wiener Hotel. Frühstücksbüfett ist sehr gut. Hotel hat 6 Etagen mit typischem alten Lift. Hotel liegt sehr zentral , aber in einer Seitenstraße, daher sehr ruhig. Gut erreichbar, in der Nähe vom Schwedenplatz gelegen. Als Hotel für einen Kurzurlaub bestens geeignet.
